Do you love bitter, tart, or sour cocktails? Do you like using seasonal ingredients and international spirits? If you said to any of those questions, then I have the right cherry cocktail for you.
Cherries are back in season this summer and given the number of sweet and tartness, why not combine that with cherry spirits to make a deep and rosy cocktail There are a couple of well-known cherry liqueurs such as Luxardo, Herrings (Denmark), and Rothman. My personal favorite is Ginja, a Portuguese sour cherry liqueur. You have seen Ginja used in the Cocktail World Cup, a fun Tom Collins, and a Ginja Sour as a supporting character. This cocktail is about the cherry!
