As part of the game day dips, these dips are not only easy to make but take very little to no time at all. These dips are a great addition to any game day snacks as we are coming up to the biggest weekend of the year, Super Bowl Sunday! In addition, this is one of three dips that are great additions.
The spicy Houriya is an incredible dip to add to the game day table. It is a great addition to your game day snacks and will keep your friends coming back for more. Last week, it was my most popular dip and my personal favorite. I love having hummus and tzatziki, but it was nice to have something different that went perfectly. Inspired by favorite restaurant Insalata, here is my take on this incredible dip.
Ingredients:
1 pound of carrots
½ teaspoon of chili powder
1/3 cup of olive oil
2 cloves of crushed garlic
Salt and pepper
1 teaspoon of turmeric
1/2 teaspoon of coriander
½ teaspoon of cumin
1/4 teaspoon of paprika
Method:
- Peel a pound of carrots and dice into cubes
- Let the carrots boil in a stove pot for 15-20 minutes or until softened
- Once released, place the carrots and the condiments and 1/3 cup of olive oil in a blender
- Pulse until the carrots are thoroughly pureed and you have a chunky
- Taste and add extra salt and pepper
- Lastly, pour the dip into a bowl and optionally add a bit of paprika on top
- This dip takes very little to no time at all and worthy of the game day table. Also, see the other two game day dips that make this trio super vibrant: Tsatziki and Hummus.
