Fall Classics: Whiskey-Cider

As summer comes to an end, everyone is going through apple picking or to the pumpkin patch. In celebration of autumn, I am going with my favorite classic drink, a whiskey-cider or "Angry Fireball" or "Fire Orchard" or whatever you like to call the sweet combination of apple cider, lime juice, and cinnamon. I am really happy to make this drink addition to the party mixes.

So let's start with the individual drinks:
2 ounces of Fireball whiskey or your whiskey
3-4 ounces of apple cider or Angry Orchard
.75 ounces of lime juice
3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg

The Party Mix:
~ 8-10 ounces of Fireball
32-40- ounces of apple cider
6 ounces of lime juice
3-4 Cinnamon Sticks
4 teaspoons of cinnamon
1.5 teaspoon of nutmeg
BONUS: Infused/Spiked Cherries and the cherry juice and Baked Apples

There are so many easy and great combinations to improve and improvise this drink. Simply select any and all of the different base ingredients. I will say the classics are always the best and as we are entering into the fall and winter. Cinnamon and nutmeg are the best spices for this time of year. It has been so much fun to bring these back and will have a couple more toddies coming to help push through the changing seasons.
