Staying Cool with the Sake Sidecar

Sake is probably one of the most underrated spirits residing in my shelf. Like Greece’s Mastiha, it is sweet with a nice aftertaste. Moreover, it is the perfect spirit for mixing simple drinks throughout the summer whether it is with lemonade, watermelon, etc.

This summer, I have been enjoying a more fun take on the classic sidecar. Although I prefer a it with either cognac or whiskey, sake provides a lighter flavor while enhancing the citrus as well as incorporating some other seasonal fruits such as cherries.
