The summer is a time of celebration and fun. When you think of celebration, 9 times out of 10, it is probably champagne or your spirit of choice. Why not combine the two? The French 75 is the perfect combination of gin, champagne, and celebration. It is a drink with an incredible history that has many different variations featuring cognac and other spirits. Naturally, my ideal version is gin and bring it to your next party.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Tanqueray or Empress 1908 (in my case)
- 1 oz Champagne
- .5 - 1 oz Lemon juice
- .5 - 1 simple syrup
Method:
- Combine the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup with ice in a cold shaker.
- Shake thoroughly
- Fine strain into a collins glass.
- Top with champagne!
- Serve!
