Back to Margaritaville

I can\'t get LA\'s El Cholo\'s margarita out of my mind. So another classic drink with a simple twist. After returning from home, I have only been on a margarita spree to get through this week. I love that the margarita has many variations, styles of making, choices of Tequila, serving it either frozen or not, etc. As mentioned in my previous post, I think a margarita comes down to three essential ingredients: Tequila, Triple Sec or Cointreau, and lime juice. This week features one of my favorite liqueurs: the prickly pear!

Ingredients:
2 ounces of Silver Tequila or Patron (I believe the highest quality tequila is necessary)
1 ounce of Triple Sec or Cointreau
1 ounce of lime juice or lemon juice for this case
1 ounce of prickly pear liqueur
Garnish with a lemon or lime and add a salt lined rim to the glass depending on your preferences.
