Date nights are coming up and if you are short on time or want to do something simple then this pasta recipe is for you. You should have all the ingredients in your pantry except fresh parsley and this recipe is perfect for every occasion.
Ingredients:
Juice of 1 lemon
1 bunch of parsley
½ box of linguine or spaghetti
4 cloves of garlic
Salt
Pepper
Olive oil
2 tablespoons of butter
Red chili pepper flake
Method:
1. Get a pot of salted water boiling in preparation for the pasta.
2. While the water is boiling, mince the parsley and garlic (if you don’t own a garlic crusher) into tiny pieces on a cutting board.
3. Once the pasta is cooking, start a second pan with about a tablespoon or two of olive oil on medium-high heat.
4. Once the oil is shimmering, add 2 tablespoons of butter and four cloves of crushed garlic using a garlic crusher or mince by knife. Add red chili pepper flake and keep stirring until fragrant.
5. Once the pasta is about cooked, reserve one cup of pasta water and put the rest of the pasta on the other pan.
6. Add the cup of water and the juice from one fresh lemon and continue to stir the pasta on low-heat. Cover the pan for a couple of minutes so the sauce can start to thicken. After a couple of minutes, stir the pasta and add salt and pepper to taste. At that point you should be ready to serve.
